Blain McConnell has got nothing on our Nae Nae, so watch us whip…whip.
During quadrant 1 we demonstrate the huge Elieko Soft Stones that will be used in the Kona matches in Anaheim California. Watch as Danny demonstrates movements using the soft stones while Conan gives the play by play. These soft stones range from 75 lbs all the way up to 250 lbs. We share with you the comparison between the atlas stones and the soft stones next to each other so you can see how this will effect the teams in Anaheim. These balls require big strength with a huge wingspan. People who are great at fast, functional fitness movements with short levers won’t typically be great at the huge soft stones. This is reminiscent of the 10’ burpee ring-touches. So, are teams diverse enough to handle this type of requirement?
In Quadrant 2… www.thegridcast.com/vote and www.thegridcast.com/donate. Remember to vote for the team and donate to our curealz.org for our research fund. The Grid Invitational first match is legit. The weights are very strong, just like the pros, but the rep schemes are a little lighter, but that’s it. This tournament is for the big boys and girls, it’s not your local box throw-down. How about a 10-inch deficit free standing hand stand push up? Does that sound like your local throw down element? I don’t think so.
We talk about making changes to the GRID to make it recreational and youth level and how it can be affordable for boxes around the country. We think that this is the next evolution of the sport for local GRID.
In Quadrant 3 we talk to Ryan Elrod, the crazy gymnastics badass of the DC Brawlers. He talks about how he became an actor and trampolinist for Cirque Du Soleil and how he came to find GRID. He is a rising star for the NPGL and his gymnastics skills are insane! Definitely check this guy out.
Remember to vote for TEAM GRIDCAST for the Grid Invitational at www.thegridcast.com/vote and donate to Azlheimer’s research to defeat this shitty disease at www.thegridcast.com/donate. Until next time, clean up your jerks and snatches, drink your beer in batches, and always dominate your GRID matches.
