Episode 26…the official 6-month mark for the GridCast, we talk all about NPGL GridCast Power Rankings and the Grid Invitational tournament in September. Our guest on the show was the ever beautiful, always smiling, Andrea Ager from the NY Rhinos!
In Quadrant 1 we broke down who is the mightiest in the NPGL and who is trailing behind. We also got a little in-depth on how we came up with the power rankings.
Why do we still have Baltimore in 8th place? Boston is still in 7th, but have a bright future. In 6th we have the LA Reign, but have higher potential. In 5th place we see NY Rhinos, which is better than last year and have star players like Andrew Rape and Sarabeth Phillips who keep getting better and better. In 4th Miami holds strong with a lot of depth and Coach Doug Chapman is simply the best move that Miami made in the off-season. In 3rd we demoted the DC Brawlers a bit from our original rankings, but they are leagues above the other 5 teams. In second we rank the Phoenix Rise, but they are basically tied with DC in our eyes. The San Francisco Fire is our number one team on the power rankings and I’m not sure how they will be unseeded. We’ll see how it shakes out by the end of the season. If you look at previous episodes, we predicted the top 3 teams and we are right on the money still with those teams and they can trade places easily on any given race at any given time.
In Quadrant 2 we discuss the amateur leagues. The NorCal Grid League launched with a Grid Invitational tournament last weekend. The Western Amateur Grid League (WAGL) has an invitational throw-down coming up on June 27th. The winner of that tournament will get a spot at the Grid Invitational in Anaheim California in September.

In Quadrant 3 Danny got to interview the always beautiful and smiling Andrea “Ager Bomb” Ager from the New York Rhinos. She was coaching at Faith Rx’d at CrossFit Revamped in Columbia MD. She got to share her experience with the Faith Rx’d team and gave us the “skinny” on what is going on with the Rhinos. Make sure to check it out.
