On this week’s GridCastU where athletes, coaches, and personalities from around the GRID help U become better at GRID we interview motocross racer, no rock climber, no welder, no badass athlete for the Boston Iron Natalie Newhart. We knew that Natalie is a standout on the GRID but we found out that she is also probably the biggest badass in general. All of us have seen something and thought it would be awesome to try it, but Natalie takes it a step further and actually does it.
Although she wasn’t a gymnast growing up like most of the other stand outs in the league, what Natalie lacks in the beauty of movements she makes up for in raw speed. And what is the most important part of the sport?
We find out how doing these other activities keeps her mind in the right place and not get burned out on functional fitness. That, I think, is the biggest take away for anyone listening. You have to get out and do other things to stay sane. We hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did, and are excited to watch Natalie take on the DC Brawlers next week in the semi-finals.
Until next time, clean up your jerks and snatches, drink your beer in batches, and always dominate your GRID matches.
